Our Story

Our story begins in 1947, when a Romanian immigrant arrived in America with little more than determination, a passion for growing trees, and a belief that forests could help shape thriving communities.

Settling near Laguna Beach, California, he purchased a small piece of land and began cultivating trees by hand. The early years were challenging, but his commitment to growing healthy, resilient trees quickly earned the trust of homeowners, landscapers, and municipalities throughout California.

As demand grew, so did the nursery. What began as a modest family operation expanded beyond Southern California, with new growing facilities established in San Luis Obispo, California, Durango, Colorado, Applegate, Michigan, and Eatonville, Washington. Each nursery was chosen for its unique climate, allowing the company to produce exceptional trees suited for regions across the United States.

Over the decades, the family business grew into one of America's largest tree growers, producing millions of evergreens, shade trees, and ornamental varieties for parks, restoration projects, commercial developments, and residential landscapes.

Although the company expanded across the country, its founding philosophy never changed: grow quality trees with patience, integrity, and respect for the land.

Today, that same commitment continues to guide every tree we grow. From a single immigrant's dream in 1947 to a network of nurseries spanning the United States, our roots remain grounded in the belief that planting a tree is an investment in future generations.
